Principal Cast Announced for NOËL

By: Nov. 24, 2016

In what promises to be the hottest ticket of the festive season, Noël, the brand new musical by Eoin Colfer and Liam Bates will be staged, concert-style, in the National Opera House this December. West End stars Stephen Carlile, Zoe Rainey and James Byng will be joined by Dublin native Mark Lambert, Wexford born Aileen Mythen and Wicklow based Avril O'Toole in this charming story that will capture the magic and meaning of Christmas.

Newcomer Hana Kelly has been announced as the central character Noël. Hana, who was selected through an open audition process, is an exciting new voice on the musical theatre scene, though her stunning voice will be familiar from the RTÉ Jr Channel theme tune.

Noël tells the charming story of a young girl who is distraught at the disappearance of her mother. On a journey to find her, Noël meets a motley crew of characters who want to help: Nick, a disillusioned homeless man with a secret, forms a bond with the child. In helping Noël, Nick rediscovers his belief in the magic of Christmas and in himself.

This exciting semi-staged concert production featuring a full onstage orchestra will be directed by Ben Barnes and is produced by Emmy nominated Tenor Michael Londra and Steve Peters via their U.S. based company VenuWorks Theatricals.
