Reflections and Music: A Tribute to Hugh Maguire will take place in The University Church St Stephens Green, Dublin on Monday 29th July at 6.p.m. The event will last approximately 50 minutes.

Hugh Maguire, who recently passed away was Founder and Conductor of the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland (formerly The Irish Youth Orchestra). He was also Director of the Con Corda Summer School which is affiliated to the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras of which he was President.

The tribute will consist of reflections and Music by past and present members of the NYOI and Con Corda and will be in the presence of a number of Hugh's family.

Olive Smith the founder of the Irish Youth Orchestra will be represented by her daughter GillIan Smith who will also participate.

This will be followed by a concert by the NYOI at the National Concert Hall, Dublin at 8.p.m. which will be dedicated to Hugh. Tickets are available for this concert at NCH.ie.
