Ever since he released his first album ‘Because' in 1990, Finbar Wright has been a household name in Ireland. Twenty years on, his achievements have been impressive, surpassing even the high expectations of music gurus such as producers Mike Batt and Phil Coulter who both worked on some of his earliest albums and correctly predicted that he would be a world star. He has performed in all the major concert halls around the globe from the Albert Hall in London to Sydney Opera House; from the Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles to Carnegie Hall, New York. Working alongside some of the greatest orchestras in the world, he has sung with famous performers as diverse as Jerry Lee Lewis and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, and from Bryn Terfel of Wales to Montserrat Caballé of Spain. His most recent album is entitled ‘When I Need Love' on the Dara Records label and he is currently working on his autobiography which he hopes to have ready for release at the end of 2010.
