Experience Wexford Festival Opera Wherever You Are With RTE
Although the 67th Wexford Festival Opera will be drawing to a close this weekend you still have the chance to experience one of the spectacular operas from this year's Festival at home via the RTÉ Player.
As part of Wexford's long-running partnership with RTÉ, for the first time ever, one of the Festival's main stage evening operas was live-streamed last Saturday. That performance of Saverio Mercadante's Il bravo (The Assassin) is now available to watch as a web-exclusive on the RTÉ player at www.rte.ie/player/ie/search/?q=il%20bravo
This non-commercial venture, with the streamed performance made available free-to-view to all, falls under RTÉ's public service remit, and augments Wexford's education and access policy of reaching larger audiences to showcase the work of Wexford Festival Opera, thus enabling live interactions with new audiences watching remotely.
So why not log on and discover the hidden gem that is Wexford Festival Opera for yourself?
