Roscommon Arts Centre is delighted to announce the Bealtaine performance of CoisCéim Dance Company at the arts centre on Tuesday 10th May. This production incorporates two unique events ‘Swimming with my Mother' and ‘Deep End Dance'.‘Swimming with my Mother' is a stage duet embodying the relationship between a mother and son and their mutual love for swimming and dancing. In this intimate duet, shared pasts intertwine and build gently like a rising tide. Life stories are told with humour to the sultry tones of Nat King Cole.The companionship of mother and son seeped onto the stage in David Bolger's wonderfully gentle, perfectly formed duet..... Seona MacRéamoinn Irish Theatre Magazine‘Deep End Dance' features a fully dressed man as he is pushed into a swimming pool by his mother. He brushes himself off and begins dancing underwater, always aware that she's watching. After a while she joins him in the turquoise dappled waters as they perform a playful underwater dance.
