Sharon Wheatley's DRIVE to Have Industry Reading This Month

Sharon Wheatley and Astrid Van Wieren, both original cast members of Come From Away, will lead industry readings of DRIVE a new comedy by Sharon Wheatley. The readings, directed by Wendy C. Goldberg and narrated by Cherie B. Tay, will take place October 23rd at 4pm and 7:30pm. Drive played to standing room crowds earlier this year at La Jolla Playhouse’s WOW Festival. Presented by Wendy Gillespie, Starhawk Productions.

DRIVE, a new comedy by Broadway actress Sharon Wheatley, is the real-life pandemic adventure of Sharon and her wife , stage manager Martha Donaldson—played by Wheatley’s Come From Away cast mate Astrid Van Wieren. Follow Sharon and Martha’s spiraling journey through life, love and parenthood as they spontaneously rent a 30 foot RV in the early days of Broadway’s shutdown.
