The Lion King is a stage musical produced by Disney Theatrical Group, conceived and directed by Julie Taymor, featuring songs by Elton John and Tim Rice from the animated film along with additional music by Lebo M, Mark Mancina, Jay Rifkin, Hans Zimmer, and others. The book was adapted by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi, with choreography by Garth Fagan. The production has been touring North America for more than 24 years, welcoming over 28 million theatergoers across more than 90 cities. This limited engagement marks the show's return to Indianapolis for three weeks.
