Experience the first of Buck Creek Players' Collection of Favorites as we open our 43rd season of quality theater with the comedy DIRTY BLONDE by Claudia Shear, with original music by Bob Stillman. Our 198th production will open on Friday, September 30th, and continue for two weekends through October 9th, as we count down to our 200th production. Curtain times are at8PM on Friday and Saturday, with 2:30PMmatinees on Sunday. All performances will be held at the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Avenue. Admission is $18 for adults, and $16 for students and senior citizens (62 and older). Vonnegut's World," a new week-long celebration of Vonnegut-themed special events leading up to the World Premiere event of "Happy Birthday, Wanda June" at Indianapolis Opera, was announced today and will be held at an array of Indianapolis venues fromSeptember 7th-14th. Presented by Indy Opera in partnership with Indianapolis Art Center, Butler University, Indy FilmFest, Bluebeard Restaurant, and Indy Reads, the festival represents a unique collaboration of area arts organizations and local venues to explore the many facets of the famed Hoosier and iconic literary figure. The schedule of events includes an opening reception, panel discussion, film screening, reading, "brunch of champions," special music performances, and final dress rehearsal of the new opera, written by Kurt Vonnegut and composed by Richard Auldon Clark. Vonnegut completed the libretto just two weeks before his death in 2007.

'Take a Shot' with Buck Creek Players as we wrap up our 42nd season of quality theater with The Playhouse Players Youth Production of BUGSY MALONE JR. Opening on Friday, July 29th, and continuing for two weekends through August 7th, curtain times are at 8PM on Friday and Saturday, with 2:30PM matinees on Sunday. All performances will be held at the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Avenue. A biennial fundraiser for The Blaine Jarrett Memorial Scholarship Fund, admission is $18 for everyone, with $3 from every ticket automatically donated to the scholarship fund. Reservations are recommended, and may be reserved securely online with no added fees at www.buckcreekplayers.com, or by calling our automated reservation line at (317) 862-2270 (option 1). Group discounts are also available for parties of ten or more when purchased online.
