SOMEONE WHO'LL WATCH OVER ME Opens 5/29, Pikk's Tavern Hosts Post Show Party

By:

Someone Who'll Watch Over Me opens on Friday and you definitely don't want to miss this one - it is so well written and performed. Three men are held in a Lebanese prison. Chained to their perspective walls in a basement room, an Englishman, Irishman and American talk and yell and share and laugh and cry together. It's one of those stories that will make you laugh until you cry and cry until you laugh... I love it when that happens. It will definitely give you something to think and talk about for hours and days after you see it.

We open on Friday at 8:00 with an opening night gala at Pikk's Tavern immediately following. Thank you to Pikk's for supplying us with a private room, free appetizers and a cash bar for audience, cast and crew.

The show runs three weekends. On the Second Saturday, June 6th, we'll all go over to Billy Jack's Café after the show and enjoy their hospitality, including free appetizers and pints of Mad Hatter IPA for only $2.50.

On Thursday, June 11th, immediately following the show, we'll have our Thursdays Talk with The Cast and crew. The audience is invited to stay for this facilitated discussion and learn about the choices and reasons that went into the production. For this show in particular, that promises to be a very interesting conversation.

Next Monday, June 1st is our Members' Salon. At 7:30, please join us in the auditorium for this one-of-a-kind artists' experience, facilitated by our very own Director of Education, Lisa Formosa-Parmigiano. Actors and directors are invited to contact Lisa to sign up for times to present works in progress for development and chance to hear from an audience about the effects of your work. All are invited to participate as audience members. Please join us and share in the process as one, collaborative group.

And one more item: auditions for "Triumph of Love" are Saturday, May 30 at 2:30 pm and Monday, June 2 at 7:00 pm; you need not attend both auditions.

Requirements: Auditioners should prepare a song, not from the show. Please have sheet music available for accompanist. No accapella or recorded music allowed.
