Photo Flash: First Look at Buck Creek Players' RUMORS, Opening Tonight

By:

The Buck Creek Players will open their 40th Anniversary Season "Fabulous at 40" with Neil Simon's fast-paced comedy, Rumors. Opening tonight, September 27, and running for two weekends through Sunday, October 6, curtain times will be at 8:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with 2:30 p.m. matinees offered on Sundays. All performances will be held at the Buck Creek Playhouse on the southeast-side of Indianapolis. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast below!

In this hilarious comedy, several affluent couples gather in the posh suburban residence of a couple for a dinner party celebrating their tenth anniversary. When they arrive, they discover there are no servants, the hostess is missing, and the host - the deputy mayor of New York City - has shot himself through the earlobe. Comic complications arise when, given everyone's upper class status, they decide they need to do everything possible to conceal the evening's events from the local and the media.

John D. Carver directs these comic hijinks. Indianapolis audiences may remember his previous BCP productions of Bus Stop (2011) and Escanaba in da Moonlight (2013). Joining Carver on the production team are Melissa DeVito (Producer), Joe Siefker (Technical Director & Co-Sound Designer), Donna Jacobi (Costume Designer), Jeff Rowand (Lighting Designer), Lauren Hanson (Assistant Producer), and Elizabeth Popplewell (Stage Manager). Carver also serves as Co-Sound Designer.

This production has been rated PG-13, and parents are strongly cautioned due to adult situations, language, and humor.

Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for students (through college), and senior citizens (ages 62 and older). Reservations are recommended and may be reserved online at www.buckcreekplayers.com, or by calling (317) 862-2270. Group discounts are also available for parties of ten or more when purchased online. Buck Creek Players is located at 11150 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, IN.
