Salim Khan, GTN Entertainment And Silly Monks Team Up For Magnum Opus 'Taj'

20 Years old Chennai based GTN Entertainment that pioneered many concepts and programs on Indian television and Hyderabad based NSE Listed Silly Monks Entertainment which ranks amongst the top MCNs (YouTube Multi Channel Networks) in India announced today a co-production deal to present Magnum Opus titled 'Taj', geared towards India and International markets.

Together, GTN Entertainment and Silly Monks will create, develop and produce 104 episodes 'Taj' under the creative supervision of famed script writer Salim Khan. The season-1 show will have 104 hours of programming and each episode will be for 60 minutes duration. Casting for the magnum opus is underway and new talents are being roped in, to play the lead cast.

Announcing the partnership Sanjay Reddy, Managing Director of Silly Monks Entertainment said, "This is a version that has never actually been told. Taj is a production that has great potential. We expect a strong response to our promo showcase at the Filmart 2018 in Hong Kong and hopeful to corner business interest from some of the blue-chip distributors to premiere the show on television and digital channels."

With combined world-class production capabilities GTN Entertainment, Silly Monks and Salim Khan's creative guidance, Taj Live Action TV show is a high-end production with enormous appeal for world audiences. Told in the grandiose style of a true epic, 'Taj' which is currently under pre-production stage, will give insight into stories interwoven in a style that will appeal to everyone in the family. The story is interlaced around Taj and the bond between Shah Jahan, the Mughal Emperor and Mumtaz his chief Empress.

GTN Entertainment first talk show in Tamil titled "ARATTAI ARANGAM" was telecast on Sun TV for around twenty years. It is also widely known for introducing the techniques of 3D to the small screen besides starting the live telecast of cricket matches in India.

Whereas, Hyderabad headquartered Silly Monks Entertainment is the first digital media entertainment company to be listed onto the National Stock Exchange of India. It manages around 950 YouTube channels with over 4 lac video assets in their network. Silly Monks also distributes content to the largest worldwide video platforms including Amazon Prime, Apple iTunes, YuppTv, Vuclip, Spuul, Ditto, FastFilmz etc.
