Review: WORLD SACRED SPIRIT FESTIVAL CONCLUDES IN JODHPUR The breathtakingly beautiful site of the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, bore witness to an extraordinary musical event. Presenting the most stunning and sacred traditions from the Orient, the East and Africa, the unique program was a treat to the music lovers. During the festival, one saw collaborations of artists from the West intermingling their cultural journeys with the local talent of Rajasthan.

The festival that spanned from Feb 15 - Feb 18, 2018 opened with a candlelight story tale of Pabuji Phad retold to the audience via 52 panwaras (poetic compositions) in the backdrop of the picturesque Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park. One also witnessed the feminine art of the young artists inspired by the richness of a sacred legacy of Ariana Vafadari singing the poems of Zarathustra, to the Andalusian tradition of Zainab Afilal or the Lithuanian harp of Indr? Jurgelevi?i?t? up to the Sardinian tradition of Elisa Marongiu.

His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Marwar-Jodhpur said, "This year more than two thousand people attended the festival. Having said that, we promise to bring the best artists in WSSF 2019 to make it even more exciting."
