A engaging evening in Mumbai, recently summed up what unity in diversity means in a country of 1.324 billion people and 22 major languages.

At the just concluded Prithvi Theatre Festival in Mumbai, Shri Shraddha Ramlila Committee of Sector 15 Faridabad present Ramleela. The stage presentation of Ramleela, that depicts the life journey of Lord Rama and his conquest over evil is a tradition that has been carried on in India. Just before Diwali, small and big Ramleelas are staged all across the country. But what remains unique about this Ramleela is the fact that it is staged in Urdu. A language that found grounds in India during the Mughal era.

Shri Shraddha Ramlila has achieved the recognition of best Ramlila in Faridabad and conferred with an award by Maharamlila of Haryana by Abp news in 2016.
The script owes its origin to the ancestors of the Shri Shraddha Ramlila Group, who migrated from what is now Pakistan to India and brought along with them Urdu couplets.
The presentation is a must see for anyone who wants to see how various cultures and faiths in India often come together to present a cohesive society held together with familiar stories.
