Review: ANNUAL GUJARATI SCREEN AND STAGE AWARDS at Held In Mumbai Gujarati regional entertainment industry in the country gives us some rare gems almost every year. Felicitating the hard work of this regional industry were the Annual Gujarati Screen and Stage Awards - 2017 recently held in Mumbai.

The award ceremony now in its 17th year, recognizes the hard work of artists and technicians every year.

This year, 33 Gujarati films, 31 Mumbai dramas, 18 Gujarati dramas and 4 Television series were in competition. Spread across 48 different categories, the awards night saw the nomination of more than 350 artists and technicians.

With continued efforts such as these, Gujarati films are beginning to get a great response within the country and also abroad.

Ananya, a Gujarati drama won many awards and amongst TV serials, Mahek, was the frontrunner. Love ni Bhavai and Carry on Kesar were amongst the films that drew maximum response.
