From the 2009 Canadian Fringe Festivals – Toronto, Victoria, Edmonton and Vancouver – BEST OF FRINGE winner, GEmma Wilcox makes her Houston debut in The Honeymoon Period is Officially Over. Wilcox, originally from London, portrays 20 characters in this award winning humorous, poignant, captivating tale of love and letting go.

Spanning 2 years of Sandra's life, where we are carried along by the unavoidable truth in this young woman's journey as she navigates the challenges of love and work, while remaining true to herself. We journey with her as she grapples with her dissolving marriage, and a visit from an old flame that awakens her suppressed creativity and calls into question what she truly wants.GEmma Wilcox trained at the University of Leeds, UK, specializing in multiple role-playing and physical theatre and was awarded a 1st class B.A. honors degree in Theatre Studies and English Literature in 2001.

In the UK her acting credits include: Sweetie Pie by Bolton Octagon Theatre (The Studio Theatre, London), Fear and Misery In the Third Reich by Bertolt Brecht (The Studio Theatre, London), Lucy by Tiggy Allen (The Banham Theatre, Leeds). She directed Miss in Her Teens by David Garrick (Workshop Theatre, Leeds) and Blue by Emma Keele (Workshop Theatre, Leeds), and she devised, wrote, directed, and performed in The Sight of Your Face is a Blessing: A spontaneous performance (The Banham Theatre, Leeds).
