The Texas Repertory Theatre Co., Houston's Uptown Classic Theatre, continues its 11th Anniversary "Emerging Visions" Season with a new staging of the all girl musical review A...My Name is Alice, opening October 15th and playing 4 performances a week through November 7th.

Winner of the Outer Critics' Circle Award, Best Musical, this slick and lively revue offers a marvelous kaleidoscope of contemporary women singing the blues, playing jazz, dancing to show tunes -- Sophisticated, bawdy, funny and insightful, the musical portrays friends, rivals, sisters and even members of an all women's basketball team as the characters in A...My Name is Alice search for their identities and find strength through their girl friends. Humorous, touching, and sometimes just plain wild, A...My Name is Alice is a musical for everyone -- for the women who can laugh at themselves ... and cry -- and for the men who love them.

The Texas Repertory Theatre production of A...My Name is Alice features a cast of Houston's finest performers, under the direction of Troy Scheid, director of The Texas Repertory productions of Company, The Underpants, and The Odd Couple.
