'Successor to Harry Houdini' to Bring Off-Broadway Hit to Houston

Daniel Bauer, the magician and escape artist who currently holds the official title "Successor to Harry Houdini," is bringing his one-of-a-kind off-Broadway show to Houston for a limited engagement.

"Beyond Belief: Escape to Survival" is a 90-minute emotionally charged, life-changing experience that is based on the true story of Daniel Bauer. The story takes you on a mind-blowing journey of life from his appointment as Houdini's Successor to how his entire love for magic and escape and his dreams were pulled right out from underneath him after he was diagnosed with HIV. The experience is intense, heart-breaking and soul-lifting all at the same time.

Stories of loss, survival and triumph are creatively weaved through the arts of magic, mind-reading and death-defying escape. Everything you thought you knew about conquering life, never losing hope and going after dreams will come to life. The show promises that you will not be the same person when you leave as when you arrived!

"Beyond Belief: Escape to Survival" will play one weekend only, Friday December 9 and Saturday December 10 at 8 PM, and two shows on Sunday December 11 at 2:30 PM and 7 PM.
