Latinx Theatre Company TEATRX Receives Let Creativity Happen! Express Grant

TEATRX has been awarded the Let Creativity Happen! Express Grant from Houston Arts Alliance and Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs. This Grant will be used to partially fund TEATRX's first production, La Vida Es Cortos/Life is Shorts Festival.

"Let Creativity Happen! Express Grants are designed to encourage artists and creative individuals to take creative risks that may not qualify for more traditional funding opportunities. Awards will support innovative ideas that redefine artistic boundaries, reshape the conversation about art and art experiences, and/or establish unique opportunities to experience art."

The short film and short play festival will be held at Talento Bilingüe De Houston on November 9th and 10th, 2018. La Vida Es Cortos/Life is Shorts is a unique festival that presents short plays and short films to celebrate and showcase the Latinx community, its artists, and its stories.
