Galveston's Grand 1894 Opera House Presents THE TIME JUMPERS

The Grand 1894 Opera House presents a rousing evening with The Time Jumpers, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 8 pm. Tickets may be purchased at The Grand's Box Office, 2020 Postoffice Street, by calling 409.765.1894, 800.821.1894, or online at www.thegrand.com.

The Time Jumpers was established in Nashville in 1998 by an assemblage of high-dollar studio musicians who wanted to spend some spare time jamming with their sonically gifted buddies. The super pickers settled into Nashville's fabled Station Inn bluegrass club for their late night Monday jams. Big stars began dropping by, some to sit in with the band, others just to enjoy the vast array of country, swing, jazz and pop standards The Time Jumpers rejoiced in playing. Among those drop-bys were Bonnie Raitt, Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, Joe Walsh, Norah Jones, Robert Plant, The White Stripes, Kings of Leon, Jimmy Buffet, Elvis Costello, and Kelly Clarkson.

The current edition of the Grammy nominated band includes 10 members, each a master of his instrument: Vince Gill (vocals, electric and acoustic guitars), "Ranger Doug" Green (vocals, acoustic rhythm guitar), Paul Franklin (steel guitar), Brad Albin (upright bass), Larry Franklin (vocals, fiddle), Andy Reiss
(electric guitar), Kenny Sears (vocals, fiddle), Joe Spivey (vocals, fiddle) Jeff Taylor (accordion, piano)and Billy Thomas (vocals, drum).
