DR. SEUSS' THE CAT IN THE HAT Adds 10/12-13 Shows at Main Street Theater

Dr. Seuss's The Cat in the Hat, based on the book by Dr. Seuss and adapted by Katie Mitchell, originally produced by The National Theatre of Great Britain, will be directed by Jef Johnson at the MAIN STREET THEATER - CHELSEA MARKET, 4617 Montrose Blvd., Houston, TX, with added performances Saturday, Oct. 12 at 7:00pm and Sunday, Oct. 13 at 4:00pm.
"The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play. So we sat in the house. All that cold, cold, wet day." So begins the wildly popular Dr. Seuss classic that generations of children have read growing up. But never fear, the Cat in the Hat appears, with Thing One and Thing Two (bringing mayhem and fun!), to take Sally, her brother and the fish on a madcap adventure!
Recommended for Pre-Kindergarten and up. No children under 3 allowed in the theater (including sleeping babies).
PAGE TO STAGE BOOKCLUB MEETING:
On Saturday, September 28, MST will hold its Page to Stage Book Club meeting at the Blue Willow Bookshop at 10am. The club meets over the course of the season to talk about the books the MST Theater for Youth plays are based on, meet characters from the books, have a snack, make crafts, and hear a reading from the book. Children can bring their own copy of the book or purchase it at a discount at Blue Willow (located at 14532 Memorial Drive (at Dairy Ashford)). BREAKFAST AT BRAZOS:
On Saturday, October 19 at 10am, meet the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1, and Thing 2; enjoy a Seussalicious breakfast; make wacky crafts; face painting; and read the book with the Cat! At Brazos Bookstore, 2421 Bissonnet. $25 per child / $15 per adult.
