CALENDAR GIRLS Now Playing at Clear Creek Community Theatre Through 9/24

Due to Hurricane Harvey, Clear Creek Community Theatre has been forced to delay the opening of CALENDAR GIRLS. They are also adding two Saturday matinees on September 16th and 23rd to make sure everyone has a chance to see this wonderful show.

Those holding tickets for the original opening date may exchange them for any performance between September 15th and the 23rd on a seating available basis. Please call the box office at 281-335-5228 to request a change.

Before there was The Full Monty, there were the Ladies of Rylstone. A few years ago, a group of middle-aged women in the tiny town of Rylstone, England, decided to try a new twist on an old fundraising opportunity. They were part of a charity organization called the Women's Institute, and one day they joked that it would be fun to do a calendar - a girlie, pin-up calendar. In the nude.

The thought of posing naked for a photo is a nightmare for most women. But when the ladies of the Rylstone and District WI dared to bare for their famous charity calendar, they raised a fortune, as well as a few eyebrows, and inspired a Hollywood hit. Now their story has been turned into a play, and CCCT has selected it to open its 2017/18 Season.

With a script by Tim Firth who also co-wrote the movie, CALENDAR GIRLS achieves exactly what it sets out to do. "It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, and it leaves you feeling better about life than you did when you entered the theatre."

Not to be outdone, our CALENDAR GIRLS cast is also producing a fundraising calendar. Proceeds will benefit both The Leukemia Society and CCCT.
