Ars Lyrica Houston presents the Out of the Box season concert, Baroque Razzle-Dazzle on December 31, 2018 at 9:00 pm in Zilkha Hall at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. The New Year's Eve celebration is a full evening of separately ticketed events including dinner in the newly renovated Diana American Grill at 7:30 pm, concert in Zilkha Hall at 9:00 pm and New Year's Eve Party in Founders Club at 10:30 pm that includes a special musical performance by soprano Dominique McCormick and pianist Keith Weber. The Baroque Razzle-Dazzle concert will feature violinist Adam LaMotte and Ars Lyrica core instrumentalists and include the first and third "Brandenburg" Concertos paired with an extravagant violin concerto by Bach's close contemporary Giuseppe Antonio Brescianello.

Featured violinist Adam LaMotte, hailed by critics as "especially compelling" with "exceptional talent," whose performances are "energetic and exquisite," returns to Ars Lyrica in the Giuseppe Antonio Brescianello concerto. The festive dinner and party events that bookend the concert make for our most popular event of the year. The post-concert party is chaired by Michelle Stair and Carlos Sierra who anticipate, "an evening full of food and drinks, lively entertainment, and festive dancing to ring in 2019."

Concert soloist: Adam LaMotte, violin
Party soloists: Dominique McCormick, soprano; Keith Weber, piano
