A. D. Players Present CINDERELLA, 9/12 & 13
A. D. Players will present FREE performances of William Glennon's Cinderella at Miller Outdoor Theatre, following a successful run at our Children's Theater.
Known and beloved by children and parents the world over, Cinderella is the classic story of a beautiful girl, her evil stepmother and stepsisters, and the fairy godmother who helps her meet the prince of her dreams. Enchanting and stimulating for the imagination, the story is one of goodness overcoming over evil and wickedness. Despite overwhelming odds, Cinderella's love, dreams, and unselfishness
help her triumph.
"As a kid, I remember being fascinated by the story and characters of Disney's Cinderella and I'm excited for the opportunity to bring that magic to life," said Kevin Dean, Director of A. D. Players' Children's Theater.
The late William Glennon is renowned for his fantastical adaptations, as his other works include well-known titles such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Alice in Wonderland.
"Working on Cinderella has allowed me to express my inner child. I can only hope that this show will inspire audiences as it has inspired me and the cast," said Director,
Chip Simmons.
To further engage audiences the production adds an extra element of hilarity by having two very obviously unfeminine male actors, play Cinderella's cruel stepsisters.
