A. D. Players will present The Magician's Nephew in its Children's Theater, previewing March 18th, opening March 19th, and running through April 6th.

"The Magician's Nephew has always been a childhood favorite," said Director Chip Simmons. "The story encourages the curious exploration of the many choices we must make in our life journey. Digory and Polly are faced with many high-stake choices as they journey from darkness to light. Their discoveries, like ours, awaken them unto the creation of life."

The Magician's Nephew is adapted from the exciting first story in The Chronicles of Narnia series. The story follows Digory and his friend Polly who, through a pair of magical rings, discover new worlds, including Narnia at the very beginning of its creation. During their travels they accidentally awaken the evil Queen Jadis who follows them into Narnia, and a battle of good against evil begins as Digory seeks a healing apple to save his sick mother.

The production team for The Magician's Nephew includes Mark A. Lewis (Set and Lighting Design), Patty Tuel Bailey (Costume Design), Trisha Wise (Properties Design), and guest designer Orlando Arriaga (Sound Design).

The cast includes A. D. Players' resident actors Patty Tuel Bailey as Aunt Letty, Craig Griffin as Uncle Andrew, Kurt Bilanoski as Digory, and Megan Jackson as Polly.

SHOWTIMES: The Magician's Nephew runs March 18 - April 6, 2014. Performances are Tuesdays through Saturdays at 10:30am with 1:00pm performances on 3/22, 3/29 and 4/5. Additional 1:00p performances are available upon request for school groups. The Magician's Nephew previews on Tuesday, March 18 at 7:00pm.

TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets are $10 for individuals and $6 for groups of 10 or more, $5 for Title 1 schools. Tickets may be purchased online at www.adplayers.org, at the A. D. Players Box Office, 2710 W. Alabama, or by calling 713-526-2721.
