YAHAIRA YAHAIRA at The Adams Theater

YAHAIRA YAHAIRA is an interdisciplinary project led by choreographer Omar Román de Jesús and his NYC-based dance company Boca Tuya, developed through a Works & Process residency at The Adams Theater. The work weaves together narrative collage, archival material, sound engineering, and movement to explore questions of community, environment, and collective memory, centered around events at the Kennedy Center that continue to challenge the future of arts in America. The project preserves institutional memory and chronicles political change through live dance performance, audiovisual recordings, and a Docu-Dance film.
