Peaches' Planned One-Woman JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR Canceled

Electro-Rock Artist Peaches was planning on staging a one-woman show of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Jesus Christ Superstar', but the German authorities who hold the rights to the show will now allow the performance to take place.

Peaches broke the news on her Twitter page, "The German authorities who hold the rights" to "Jesus Christ Superstar" "will NOT grant Peaches permission to perform any music from the original musical." She also wrote that, "Authorities claim that this project is of no interest to them due to its unconventional form and therefore not a single song from the original musical shall be used in this production."

Organizers for Peaches revealed that the singer planned to perform the musical in its entirety, singing all the roles from leads to ensemble, at the Hebbel-Theater Berlin with performances from March 25 through 27.
