Theatre Conspiracy’s Farewell Tour continues, with the critically acclaimed, darkly funny play Escaped Alone by Caryl Churchill, a master of contemporary theatre, July 18 - 26 at the Off-Broadway Palm, with a special preview performance on July 17. What do four women talk about over tea in a backyard? Everything—and nothing. In this sharp, surprising one-act by the legendary Caryl Churchill, three longtime friends and a curious neighbor share stories, secrets, and laughter during one deceptively ordinary afternoon. But as their conversations wander from cats to television to what keeps them up at night, a much larger picture begins to form—one you won’t see coming. Funny, strange, and full of heart, Escaped Alone is a short, powerful play from one of theatre’s most celebrated voices. A rare blend of charm and mystery that lingers long after the lights go down. Directed by Bill Taylor, this play features an iconic cast: Nancy Antonio (Lena), Karen Goldberg (Sally), Dianne Summers (Vi), and Sonya McCarter (Mrs. Jarrett). Continuing with Theatre Conspiracy’s mission of giving back and saying thank you to the community that has sustained it for over three decades, this show features BOGO tickets. Performance Dates: Preview July 17 at 7:30 pm July 18, 19, 24, 25, 26 at 7:30 PM July 20 at 2:00 PM Theatre Conspiracy’s 33rd Season & Farewell Tour is sponsored by Janet & Bruce Bunch.
