Preparation
Please lead with song selection of Golden Age musical theatre (Irving Berlin preferred) with your strength to your type (from the score fine); you may follow with a contrasting selection - not to exceed 2 1/2 minutes total.

| Breakdown
The roles of Bob/Bing Crosby, Phil/Danny Kaye, Betty/Rosemary Clooney, Judy/Vera Ellen, the General, Martha, Zeke, Snoring Man, and Mrs. Snoring Man have verbal offers out. The role of Susan will be cast from the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre student body, the official training wing of Theatre Under The Stars.
Principal role: of the remaining roles not offered, Sheldrake is a former Army buddy of Bob and Phil’s, then turned major agent and booker for national television variety shows. Comic relief, character singing voice fine, age range 25-50, vocal range C and octave below middle C to E one third above middle C.
Ensemble: we seek good dancers who sing well, and singers who move VERY well, tap experience a plus. All ethnicities welcome. You are welcome to sing 16-bar selections from the score or any Golden Age musical (Irving Berlin preferred). Those auditioning as Singers may be asked back to move within the AEA Dance call the next day.
