Please prepare a monologue of your choice. A personal introduction would be appreciated, but not required. Total video not to exceed 5 minutes. SEEKING

:

JOE: Age 55-65. male. Latinx. Dad to Ricky, Ron and Angelina. A strong patriarchal figure within the family. Suffering from extreme alcoholism has made him unable to speak and function. Despite this, he has spectacular interiority even after he is no longer able to communicate.

RICKY: Age 30-40. male, Latinx, Joe’s younger gay son. An alcoholic. Visiting from NYC trying in vain to help his family.

RON: Age 35-45. male, Latinx, Joe's older son. An alcoholic. Gave his father a kidney but continues to enable his alcoholism.

MONA: Age 50-60. female. Latinx. Deceased. Mother to Ricky, Ron and Angelina; wife to Joe. An alcoholic. Painfully human and full of despair; She appears to her family in an Act 3 intergalactic interlude where she explains to them why she committed suicide. Also plays CRYSTAL: a home health aide caring for Joe.

ANGELINA: Age 30-40. female. Latinx, Joe's daughter. An alcoholic. A nursing school student. Deeply jaded from being the caretaker for Joe. Suffers from anxiety. CAST
