About the Show: Star students and squabbling siblings Albert and Jennifer Chen used to represent the pinnacle of adolescent achievement. But when it comes to adulthood, they’re epic failures. Albert’s just been passed up for promotion and Jennifer's been dumped by her loser boyfriend. So they do what any reasonable egghead brother and sister would do and go on an Asian Freedom Tour! Travelling from California to China, Tiger Style! embraces the inner slacker and the outer tiger parent in all of us.
ALBERT CHEN [Male, Asian, late 20s to early 30s] Computer programmer. Unsatisfied with his stalled career. Suffering from stress ulcers.
JENNIFER CHEN [Female, Asian, 30s] Doctor, determined and smart. Ruled by a disciplined timetable that she schedules her life on. Dealing with a breakup.
RUSS THE BUS/ REGGIE/ CUSTOMS GUY [Male, White, 30s] Perpetually cuts corners. Lives to enjoy life.
DAD/ TZI CHUAN/ MELVIN/ GENERAL TSO [Male, Asian, 40s to 60s] Provided the kids with the best education, now only worries about what kind of wines pair with Chinese food.
MOM/ THERAPIST / COUSIN CHEN/ MATCHMAKER [Female, Asian, 40s to 60s] Hands on when the kids were in school and now expects them to have the tools to deal with life on their own
