Equity actors for chorus dancer parts in THE WIZ.
Based on Lyman Frank Baum’s children’s book, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”, The Wiz takes one of the world’s most enduring (and enduringly white) American fantasies and transforms it into an all-Black musical extravaganza for the ages.
ENSEMBLE DANCERS: (20-30s) Strong, vibrant, joyful, dancers full of personality with fantastic voices to execute high energy, athletic choreography rooted in jazz, modern and funk to bring the world of Oz alive. Must also pay excellent attention to detail. Want to create a world’s best in class cast, from all walks of life.

A NOTE REGARDING SELF-TAPE QUALITY:
Please film your audition in front of a clean background, with no backlighting. As much as possible, limit ambient noise including air conditioners and other electronics. We recommend you do not use Bluetooth headphones, as it can sometimes cause a delay in the audio. Use a secondary audio source to play the accompaniment music so that it is audible in the tape.
