BREAKDOWN

Any ethnicity for all roles. Roles are physically demanding. Clowning and stage combat a plus.

Clyde Oberhoffer - Health Inspector – Identifies as male, 30’s – 50’s – Buttoned up, conservative, makes trouble for the restaurant staff. Power hungry, insecure, wants women to like him. Awkward with women.

Shelly Falstaff - General Manager – Identifies as female. 30’s to 40’s. In a relationship with Sous Chef. Professional, type A, jealous and insecure about her relationship, harried, overwhelmed. Keeps the ship from sinking.

Loreen - restaurant patron– Identifies as female – 30’s to 40’s - Kleptomaniac. Starstruck, Frustrated with not being married. Unlucky in love. Envious of her friend’s success as an Instagram influencer. Always ready to have a drink. Loud and at times obnoxious. Loves to be the center of attention.

Kiki - VeganChic Instagram Influencer Patron – Identifies as female – mid 20’s to mid 30’s - Vegan Instagram influencer. She is a closet carnivore. Always taking selfies and posting on her page. Self important, vain, opportunist. Has trouble recognizing boundaries.

Jude Sous Chef – identifies as male 30’s to 40’s. Nervous, anxious. Drinks to control his anxiety. He gets drunk and high as a way to cope with his nerves – to the point of sleeping on the floor of the kitchen. In a relationship with the GM. Oblivious to someone making the moves on him.

Felix - busboy; identifies as male. Any age. Speaks with an accent. Seldom uses English words – only has a few phrases. Takes all orders seriously and literally. Is constantly being ordered around. Devoted to the restaurant. Totally selfless. Will risk all to save the day. Think Manuel from Faulty Towers.

Boris (John Paul Windsor the Third) - Waiter – Identifies as male. 30’s to 60’s. Owner of another restaurant who is in disguise. Came to steal recipes. Think Sasha Baron Cohen. He doesn’t care about he patrons, the restaurant or the food. He is only out for himself.

Ignatious (Iggy) Cook – Identifies as male 20’s to 40’s. Effeminate, in love with the Sous Chef. Would be happy to steal him away from the GM. Has a solution to every problem. Quick to anger or go into a jealous rage.
