Breakdown
HARRY HAY - Late Thirties. He is rugged, handsome, and a little on the rough side. He can be a bit of a loose cannon. Founder of The Mattachine Society, which would eventually give birth to the Modern Gay Rights Movement, he is eccentric and passionate. RUDI GERNREICH - Late Twenties. A German fashion designer, he would eventually create a VERY futuristic line of clothing for the 60's. He is attractive, very intelligent and loves Harry. He can be a real bastard if he wants. The actor will also play Harry's wife Anita in one surreal scene. MAN #1 - 40's - 50's. Plays Film Director Vincente Minelli, Chuck Rowland, a Mattachine Member, and will also play Harry's Mother in one surreal scene. Would be GREAT if this actor could play ukele/guitar, but we can work around this. MAN #2 - 30's - 40's. Plays George Shibley, a Lawyer, Bob Hull, a Mattachine Member, and will also play a Female Member of the Communist Party in one surreal scene. Would be GREAT if this actor could play the clarinet/recorder, but we can work around this. MAN #3 - Late 20's - 30's. Very masculine. Plays Dale Jennings, A Carny worker put on trial for Public Indecency, Nigel Butler, a fashion designer, and will also play the very butch female character of Ruth in one surreal scene.
