INSTRUCTIONS
Please prepare a contemporary monologue no more than two minutes in length. Videos should be shot in landscape (horizontally) in a well-lit (not backlit) space. State your name, height, and piece and show a full length shot of your body at the top of your recording, and then cut to your monologue shot from the chest up. Email your headshot/resume and video submission in a non-downloadable format (private YouTube link, Vimeo, etc.) Subject line should be formatted as follows: NAME - ROLE.
Seeking:
Irene (Irina), white, fifties, an actress. Self-absorbed.
Kevin (Constantine), white, mid-twenties. A writer. Moody. Irene’s son. (ROLE CAST)
Mark (Medviedenko), any race/ethnicity, early 30’s. Pathetic.
Sasha (Masha), any race/ethnicity, mid-twenties. Brooding. (ROLE CAST)
Samuel (Sorin), any race/ethnicity, sixties. Irene’s college friend/practically her brother. Retired Lawyer. Jovial, yet full of the sense that his best years are behind him. (ROLE CAST)
Nina, Bi-Racial Black/white, early twenties. Beautiful, charismatic. Naïve about the ways of the world, but becomes quite jaded.
Pauline (Paulina), any race/ethnicity, fifties. Irene’s good friend. Unhappy in her marriage to Darren.
Dean (Dorn), any race/ethnicity, fifties, a retired brain surgeon. Self-satisfied. Aloof.
Darren (Shamraeff), any race/ethnicity, fifties. Married to Pauline. Vain. Comes from Old Money.
William (Trigorin), Black, late thirties to forties. Blunt. Endearing. Compulsively follows his desires.
