ABOUT:
Aaron is smart, privileged and liked by everyone. Iskinder, his college roommate, is modest, unconnected and comes from a middle-class immigrant family. Soon the best of friends, Aaron takes Iskinder under his wing, sharing his world of favors and fortune. But the safe haven of college only lasts so long. As the tables turn and Aaron is forced to rely on Dwight, an accused felon's connections to keep him safe, both Aaron and Iskinder have to rethink the meaning of friendship and where loyalty has its limits.
SEEKING:
Iskinder Iudoku:
Male, plays 18-32 through time span of the play; Also known as Izzy, 1st generation middle-class American. Mixed race; from an Ethiopian father and white, American mother. An intellectual, aspiring lawyer and habitual stoner. Fighting his way to the upper class.
Aaron Feldman:
Male, plays 15-32 through time span of the play; Upper class, white, privileged, from a wealthy family. The world is his oyster. Utterly charming with a strange mix of both generosity and selfishness. He’s going to be successful and everyone around him knows it. Above all else, Feldman wants to be liked.
Dwight Barnes:
Male, plays 28 –36 through time span of play; African-American; Athletic frame. Equal parts charming and menacing. Strong, charismatic and able to turn on a dime. He has a streak of violence, but just as important is his sense of humor. He’s a hustler who wants to get ahead even if he doesn’t deserve it, but that’s up for debate.
