BREAKDOWN

Janine Bosko:
Female-identifying, white, early 60s. A college professor.

Zoe Reed:
Female-identifying, black, 20. A college student.

Both women are very comfortable with dense intellectual material and academic conversation. They are smart and confident to the point of arrogance. They're also charming and have good sense of humor - so they have the ability to connect with and win people over despite that arrogance.

The events and discussions in this play are deeply felt and emotionally difficult for both characters - but there is no crying in this play.
