Prepare 32 bars of a contemporary music theatre song in the style of the show (Think “Avenue Q”, Ahrens and Flaherty, Alan Menken). Also prepare the side that will be e-mailed when appointment is made.
World premiere musical.
Seeking (please submit only if you are right for this role, and you are free during the contract dates):
The Storyteller:
Late 20s - late 30s. Not your typical ingénue. Married to the Professor, who pulls her onstage to be part of his circus act. A reluctant performer, and uncomfortable in the spotlight, the Storyteller runs away from the act but secretly follows the Professor and his friend the Flea on their adventures, narrating their story. Seeking a strong actress with a wry sense of humor, who can carry us through the evening. Must sing (mezzo soprano).
