THE CHOSEN

SEEKING:

REUVEN MALTER - 20 to 30 years old, man. A young Orthodox Jewish man. Intelligent, athletic and thoughtful. He is especially talented at mathematics.

DANIEL SAUNDERS - 20 to 30 years old, man. A young Hasidic Jewish man. A brilliant scholar with a photographic memory and a deep interest in Freud and psychoanalysis. Torn between his duty to his father and his own ideas about how to live his life.

DAVID MALTER - 40 to 50 years old, man. Reuven’s father. A traditional Orthodox Jewish man. Teacher, scholar, writer and humanitarian. Ethical, caring, and honest. Well-versed in both Judaic and secular studies.

REB SAUNDERS - 50 to 60 years old, man. Danny’s father. The pious and zealous patriarch of a Hasidic dynasty. A wise, learned, and deeply religious sage who raises Danny in silence, speaking to him only when discussing the Talmud.
