SEEKING:
[PETYA TROFIMOV] Male, mid 20s-early 30s, any ethnicity. An eternal student at the university and former tutor to RANYEVSKAYA’s deceased son. A highly articulate intellect – almost too intelligent and can be borderline annoying about it. Projects passion; a revolutionary. A little foolish. Has never forgiven himself for Grisha’s drowning.
[ANYA] Female, 18+ to play 17, any ethnicity. RANYEVSKAYA’s biological daughter. A child who has lived a mostly sheltered life, yet she is more knowing and less naïve that we realize or give her credit for. Becomes somewhat radicalized by TROFIMOV, whom she quite likes and enjoys.
[CARLOTTA] Female, 30s-50s, any ethnicity. Anya’s governess. An eccentric. There is something age-less about her; it could be the lack of birth certificate…or just that she is a little other-worldly. Everyone finds her a little weird – yet she fits in seamlessly.
[DUNYASHA] Female, 20s, any ethnicity. A maid on the estate. Earthbound. No inhibitions; she is very conformable in her skin though, at times, a bit nervous – she faints easily. Boy crazy.
[YASHA] Male, 30s, any ethnicity. A servant who has been traveling with RANYEVSKAYA. Menacing and manipulative...and often just plain rude. He’s a snob – looks down on others. Confident and attractive --he’s a player, but in a cool way.
[FIRS] Male, late 60s +, any ethnicity. The family servant. Has devoted himself to this family and the well-being of their lives…and they forget about him. Loyal as the day is long.
