PECOLA: Black. Teenage girl. Seeking actors 18+. A shy, quiet, resigned and somewhat pained presence; she is completely innocent. Dark complexion.
MRS. BREEDLOVE: Female. Black. 40’s. An older version of Pecola. Dark complexion. Painfully shy and insecure, and still very adept at addressing the audience. Plays additional roles.
CHOLLY: Male. Black. 40’s. The shell of a man who may have been physically impressive at one time, dark complexion. Plays additional roles.
MAUREEN PEAL: Black. Teenage girl. Seeking actors 18+. Very pretty. Light-skinned. More complicated than merely “snotty”. Will also play track of White Girl and possibly others.
