SEEKING

Young professional female and male actors who have completed a comprehensive multi- year accredited theatre training program and who show potential for, and are passionate about, classical theatre. Must be Equity or eligible and willing to join Equity.

PREPARATION

Please prepare two monologues from Shakespeare plus one monologue of your choice (contemporary or classical). Each piece should be no longer than two minutes in length. Bring headshot and resume.

PERSONNEL

Director of the Birmingham Conservatory, Stephen Ouimette, and Casting Director for the Stratford Festival, Beth Russell, will attend with casting authority.

OTHER DATES

The 2017/18 Conservatory begins on or about September12th, 2017 and finishes on or about February 10th, 2018. Participants are then offered a contract for the 2018 Stratford Festival season, rehearsals beginning February or March 2018 and the season running until mid - late October 2018.

Contract is Conservatory Participant Letter of Agreement during Conservatory weeks, then Canadian Equity Contract, actor minimum

$1180/wk. Only able to consider US applicants from, living in, or attending school in CHICAGO.

EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition. An Equity Monitor will be provided.
