This two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with over 150 zany characters (played by a ridiculously talented cast of 4), an on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old-fashioned romance! Richard’s life is turned upside down when a beautiful female spy is murdered in his apartment. Soon, a mysterious organization called “The 39 Steps” is hot on Richard’s trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale! Vintage Hitchcock meets Monty Python in this fast paced whodunit!

The Woman:
Plays Annabella Schmidt (a beautiful woman in her late 20s to mid 30s), also plays Pamela (a breathtakingly beautiful woman) and Margaret (an incredibly pretty Scottish girl).
Clown #1:
Male, late 20s-40s, comedically adept actor, must be able to play a variety of characters of all genders, ages and types; sometimes switches characters in a matter of seconds.
