Male and Female Actors. Please see Breakdown.

Preparation
Please prepare 32 bars of cut of modern musical theatre (No rock please).
Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. Bring THREE headshots and
resumes, repertoire book and a personal calendar.

Rehearsal start date: Monday August 19th
Previews start: Wednesday, September 18th
Press opening: Wednesday, September 25th
Scheduled closing: Sunday, October 27th

A monitor will be provided.

SIGNS OF LIFE

All characters are in otherworldly, desperate, heightened situations, which affect the magnitude
of their behavior. With the exception of Heindel and Rahm, all characters are Jews

Lori (Lorelei)
Soprano, late teens (17-19ish) practical, creative, beginning her sexuality, excited by life

Simon
Tenor, early twenties - passionate, poetic, innocent

Kurt
Baritone, forties - worldly, cynical, witty, self-promoting

Heindel
Tenor, twenties or thirties- Aryan, idealistic, insecure, arrogant. Thinks of himself as noble

Rahm
Baritone, forties or fifties - Aryan, centered, confident, practical

Jacob
