Seeking local actors only for possible future replacements for the following roles in this production, which is currently running in Boston. Producers state, “SHEAR MADNESS" has a new director this fall. We would like to read ALL interested actors for December/January replacements! … This audition is open to all who feel they can fit any of [these] character descriptions. Whether you’ve been in the show before, auditioned before, or are completely new to us, we would love to see you! Our new director, Chris Tarjan, is a veteran to SHEAR MADNESS but new to Boston, so he is excited to see the talent you have to offer this production.”
Nick O’Brien:
30s-50s. Street-smart undercover cop.
Mikey Thomas:
20s-30s. Younger cop; eager. Nick’s partner.
Barbara DeMarco:
20–40. Sharp, snappy urban hairstylist.
Tony Whitcomb:
20–40. Shear Madness’s proprietor. Exuberant, “flamboyant” hairstylist.
Eddie Lawrence:
30s–50s. Slick salesman. Antique dealer.
Mrs. Shubert:
50–75. Old money. Boston socialite.
