CONTRACT

LOA $728 weekly minimum (LOA ref. LORT)

SEEKING

Equity actors of all ages, gender identities, and ethnicities, as well as those with disabilities, for roles in SCS's 2021 season: The Agitators by Mat Smart, and RII by Jessica Kubzansky. (See breakdown.) No roles will be understudied.

INSTRUCTIONS

Prepare one contemporary and one Shakespeare monologue totaling less than three minutes. Email video or a link to video along with headshot and resume to auditions@santacruzshakespeare.org.

THE AGITATORS

Susan B. Anthony - Female-identifying. White. Ages 29 to 75.

Frederick Douglass - Male-identifying. Black. Ages 31 to 77.

RII

Actor A - Plays King Richard II. Any gender identity. Any race/ethnicity. 20s - 30s (possibly older). Has a boyish, mercurial, volatile quality. Actors of color particularly encouraged to submit.

Actor B - Plays Bolingbroke, Queen Isabel, Aumerle, Lord Ross, a groom. Any gender identity. Any race/ethnicity. Age range 20s - 40s. Able to play seriously across gender lines and social status. Charismatic, political, movement skills and stage combat experience a plus. Actors of color particularly encouraged to submit.

Actor C - Plays York, Mowbray, Gaunt, Bushy, Northumberland, Carlisle, Scroop. Characters are primarily male. Any race/ethnicity. Age range 20s to 70s. Versatile character skills are a must. Actors of color particularly encouraged to submit.
