Please bring your headshot & resume (stapled back-to-back), and sheet music in your key for a short cut of music in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided but will not transpose. Callbacks, if warranted, will be the same day. Callbacks will include dance and/or cold readings.

Sam - A snowman. A warm, middle-aged man with a relaxed demeanor. A powerful storyteller who never gets in the way of the story he’s telling. A knowing sense of humor; an appealing, warm singing voice.
Santa Claus - Larger-than-life personality; cheerful but distracted. Agelessly youthful but should read middle-aged. Strong singing voice.
Mrs. Claus - Feisty, matter-of-fact, inherently warm. A strong belter.
Donner - Rudolph's father. (Can double as Boss Elf). Physically agile; tougher on the outside than he is on the inside.
Mrs. Donner - Rudolph's mother. Maternal, soft-spoken, quietly strong. Warm mezzo.
Rudolph - A Young Buck. Youthful; physically agile; winning performer; vulnerable but strong; a solid singer.
Hermey - An elf. Charmingly apologetic, but with inner strength. Strong comic sensibility; moves well and has a strong character voice.
Boss Elf - (can double as Donner) Humorless manager of the elves’ workshop; innate comic sensibility. Doubles as Blitzen in the finale sequence.
Fireball - A young buck. Featured member of the chorus; young, sparky, boyish – will also understudy Rudolph.
Coach Comet - Reindeer Games Coach; (Can double as Yukon) Physically agile; featured member of Santa’s team; leads the reindeer games with coach-like quality.
Clarice - A young doe. Youthful; physically agile. Strong, willful, loving, flirtatious, has a lilting pure soprano voice.
Yukon Cornelius - A prospector. Tall, large man who should read mid 40s; instantly likeable character; slightly absent-minded; physically agile and strong comedic ability.
Bumble - The Abominable Snow Monster. The Bumble is actually a series of three-dimensional puppet/set pieces, with a distinctive growl and series of sound FX.
King Moonracer - King of the island of Misfit Toys. King Moonracer is conceived as a large stage puppet; his personality must come through his voice, which projects a strong, decisive personality; stern but warm.
Clarice’s Father - Can double as Chorus/Reindeer - a grown buck, paternally protective of Clarice.
Ensemble - Reindeer (Donner, Comet, Blitzen, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Cupid) Santa’s Elves, Misfit Toys (Charlie - A Jack-In-The-Box, Doll - A girl doll, Spotted Elephant - An elephant with spots, Train - A train engine with square wheels, Bird - A bird that swims, Cowboy - A cowboy who rides an ostrich, and Plane - An airplane that doesn’t fly.)
