Preparation
Prepare a Top 40 pop song from mid 90’s to 2001. Absolutely no musical theatre, no original songs, and please do not accompany yourself. Song should demonstrate rhythmic phrasing, range, and control. Please no over exaggeration of the material. This show is not a parody of the genre.

Breakdown
NOTE FROM CREATIVE: A brand new immersive musical that creates the experience of a 90‘s pop concert. The roles of Cade, Ryan, Aaron, Wade, and Laidback require strong 90's pop/boy band style, phrasing, and color. Control of pitch and placement with no vibrato is essential. Roles require intricate part singing. Additionally, these roles require performers who are EXCELLENT dancers as well as phenomenal actors. All ethnicities are encouraged to submit. Please no over exaggeration of the material. This show is not a parody of the genre.
SEEKING EQUITY ACTORS:
[CADE] Male, Early 20's. Member of the boy band. The youngest of 3 brothers. Driven to become the biggest star in the universe. Pop Bari-tenor to Bb, pure, lead vocalist quality with strong solo falsetto abilities Think J.C. Chasez. Plays guitar.
[RYAN] Male, Early 20's. Member of the boy band. As driven as Cade, but not as focused. At times he is the front man of the band. Pop Tenor, soulful to C, with VERY strong, Justin Timberlake style falsetto.
[AARON] Male, Early 20's. Member of the boy band. INCREDIBLE dancer. Never had any pop star aspirations. Cares more about fashion, style and perhaps breakdancing. Pop Baritone. Low G to high G.
[WADE] Male, Early/Mid 20's. Member of the boy band. Cade’s older brother. Mature. Great a what he does but would be equally as comfortable in a 9-5 job. Pop Bari-tenor to A, with strong falsetto.
[LAIDBACK] Male, Early 20's. Member of the boy band. The middle brother. A bit of a party boy. Hysterically funny. Pop Baritone. Low A to high G, with strong falsetto.
[JEMMA] Female, Early 20's. Wholesome southern raised pop princess. Pop Mezzo, super percussive and ability to produce a very light, airy pop sound. Low F to high D. Think Britney Spears.
[MARTINA] Female, Early 20's. A NOT so wholesome pop princess. Pop/RnB Mezzo belt, soulful. Low A to high Eb. Strong soulful head voice. Think Christina Aguilera.
[CLAIRESE] Female, Early 20's. An average girl. Smart, honest, talented, sweet. We root for her before we know we’re supposed to. Pop alto/mezzo belt, rich mid-range. Low G to High D.
[JANICE] Female, Early 20's. In her mind she was born to be a pop star. Body/Image obsessed. Pop soprano, high controlled belt/mix.
[MAX] Male, Late 30‘s-50’s. The songwriter/ music producer of the band. He personifies music, soul and record label polish. Pop/RnB Bari-tenor. Comedic quality with strong rapping skills. To a G. Think Will Smith during the DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince days.
[LARRY] Male, Late 30's-50's. Non Singing role. Our boy band’s manager. Equal parts con man and father figure. Very powerful and very driven. Sometimes lovable.
[DARREN] Male, Mid/Late 20's. Non Singing role. Narrates our story as well as participates in it. He is Ryan Seacrest mixed with Carson Daly. Must have the perfect radio announcer voice.
[ON STAGE MALE SWING 1] Male, 20's. Pop baritone (to A with strong falsetto). Must possess the same vocal and dance qualities described in note from Creatives.
[ON STAGE MALE SWING 2] Male, 20's. Pop tenor (to Bb with strong soulful falsetto). Must possess the same vocal and dance qualities described in note from Creatives.
[ON STAGE FEMALE SWING] Female, 20's. Pop mezzo/soprano w belt (low G to Eb, should be able to execute various styles of pop/rock/soul). Must possess the same vocal and dance qualities described in note from Creatives.
