Hunter captures, perfectly, these lives of quiet desperation who yearn for a better life and a place to call home.

Everybody knows that! When a script falls from the sky into their laps is it their destiny or a test from a higher power? These Hollywood golden boys have to explore their shared past, their darkest ambitions and brightest dreams to get to the heart of why Good Will Hunting fell into their laps. How do you like them apples?!

*Both of these characters are men. The concept for this production is that the male characters are played by feminine-presenting performers.

MATT - Matt Damon. The brains of the operation.

Description: In Queen Victoria’s Britain, 3 orphans find themselves in service aboard the good ship Neverland on its journey across the sea. Also on board is Molly, a young Starcatcher in training, who has a secret mission of her own. A soaring and swashbuckling adventure awaits featuring pirates and mermaids, Fighting Prawns and crocodiles told in a wildly theatrical style that will ignite the imagination. Peter and the Starcatcher is the story of how friendship and hope (and a little bit of Star stuff) transform a nameless and forgotten orphan into the beloved and unforgettable Peter Pan.

BOY (PETER): Orphan. A boy who doesn't miss much. Nameless, homeless, and friendless at the beginning of the play and a hero by the end. A survivor. More than anything in the world, he wants a home and a family. If he could grow up, he'd fall for Molly in a big way. But it'll never happen.

PRENTISS : Orphan. Ambitious, hyper-articulate, logical; yearns to be a leader, even as he knows in his heart that he never shall be one. A bit of a blowhard with just the teeny-tiniest touch of cowardice.

TED: Orphan. Obsessed with food: the eating of, the fighting over, the dreaming about. A natural actor, an easy wit, perhaps a future poet. Called Tubby by Prentiss, though not due to girth, of which orphans, given their meager diets, have very little indeed.

LORD LEONARD ASTER: The very model of a Victorian English gentleman, loyal subject to the Queen, devoted father, faithful friend. Also, and not irrelevant to our story, Lord Aster is a Starcatcher — dedicated to protecting the Earth and all who dwell thereon from the awesome power of starstuff.

MOLLY ASTER: A true leader at a time when girls are mostly followers. Will risk everything for the sake of Doing Right. Curious, intelligent, beginning to feel things she doesn't yet understand — romantic longings that revert to childish tantrums under pressure — because, after all, she's a thirteen-year-old kid.

MRS. BUMBRAKE: Molly's nanny. British to the bone. Still has enough of her girlish charm to turn a sailor's head and leaven his dreams. Stiff in the lip, loose in the hip, fun on a ship.

CAPTAIN ROBERT FALCON SCOTT: Captain of the Britain's fastest frigate, the Wasp. Years later, he would lead an expeditionary team to the South Pole, freeze to death, and become the iconic British hero, Scott of the Antarctic.

GREMPKIN: The mean and malodorous schoolmaster of St. Norbert's Orphanage for Lost Boys. Likes to keep his boys in the dark, as sunlight is known to feed rebellious notions, and on account of the preference in certain quarters for lads that are white and pasty.

BILL SLANK: The Neverland's vicious captain, without the skill or quality to lead anyone but himself — and always into disaster. A greedy bastard who'd sell his own mother for a ship to command and send boys to their doom for the favor of those who would use starstuff for personal gain, global domination, or worse. An orphan, too.

ALF: An old sea dog. Something about him appeals to the feminine sensibility — might be his bow legs, his saucy gait, or his kind heart.

MACK: A very bad sailor who wants to be anywhere but under the thumb of Bill Slank.

BLACK STACHE: Long after everyone else got out of the pirate business, Black Stache continues to terrorize the seven seas in search of a hero worthy of his villainy. Famous for his face foliage, he started shaving at age ten, had a bushy handlebar by eleven, and the blood of twenty crews on his hands by twelve. Heartless and hirsute, suspiciously well read, partial to the poetical and theatrical, and given to a ferocity from which no good shall ever spring.

SMEE: First mate to Black Stache. Single-mindedly dedicated to his captain's every whim. His motto: 'Tis good to be busy.

SÁNCHEZ : A hard-working Spanish pirate with an identity crisis.

FIGHTING PRAWN : King of the Mollusks, son of Jumbo Prawn and Littleneck Clam. Kidnapped by British sailors and brought in chains to England, he served as sous-chef in a country estate in Derbyshire, where, for no good reason, he learned Italian wines and mastered Italian cuisine. Since returning to his island kingdom, he vengefully murders any English with the temerity to land on his Mollusk Isle domain.

HAWKING CLAM: Son of Fighting Prawn and Sweet'n'sour Shrimp. One day, he will ascend the Clam throne as head of the Royal Clam Clan.

TEACHER: Formerly a salmon; now an ancient, knowledgeable mermaid.

Description: A musical inspired by the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney film, this uplifting and high energy musical is sure to delight all ages. The Banks family needs a bit of magic, cue a strong wind that delivers to their doorstep the amazing and ever delightful Mary Poppins!

MARY POPPINS: (20’s) Jane and Michael Banks's new nanny. She is extraordinary and strange, neat and tidy,
delightfully vain yet particular, and sometimes a little frightening but always exciting. She is practically perfect in every way and always means what she says. A mezzo soprano with strong top notes, she should be able to move well. She can have a more traditional soprano sound, but precision and diction is the key.
Vocal range top: C6
Vocal range bottom: Gb3

BERT: (30-35) The narrator of the story is a good friend to Mary Poppins. An everyman, Bert has many occupations, including hurdy-gurdy player, sidewalk artist and chimney sweep. Bert watches over the children as well as the goings on in Cherry Tree Lane. He has charm, speaks with a Cockney accent and is a song-and-dance man.
Vocal range top: F#4
Vocal range bottom: B2

GEORGE BANKS: (40-45)The father to Jane and Michael Banks, is a banker to the very fiber of his being. Demanding precision and order in his household, he is a pipe-and-slippers man who doesn't have much to do with his children and believes that he had the perfect upbringing by his nanny, the cruel Miss Andrew. His emotional armor, however, conceals a sensitive soul. A baritone, George may speak-sing as necessary.
Vocal range top: Eb4
Vocal range bottom: Bb2

WINIFRED BANKS: (30-35) George's wife and Jane and Michael's mother. A former actress, she is loving and
distracted homemaker who is busy trying to live up to her husband's desire to only associate with the best people as well as be the model wife and mother. She suffers from the conflicting feelings that she's not up to the job of being Mrs. Banks, yet, she is, and more. She has great warmth and simplicity to her tone.
Vocal range top: D5
Vocal range bottom: A3

JANE: (11-12) The high-spirited daughter of Mr. and Mr. Banks, is bright and precocious but can be willful and inclined to snobbishness.
Vocal range top: F#5
Vocal range bottom: A3

MICHAEL: (9-10) The cute and cheeky son of Mr. and Mrs. Banks. Excitable and naughty, he adores his father and tries to be like him. Both he and Jane misbehave in order to get the attention of their parents.
Vocal range top: E5
Vocal range bottom: A3

KATIE NANNA: (Early 30’s) Jane and Micahel's nanny at the beginning of the show. Overwhelmed and upset, she has absolutely had her fill of the Banks children.

POLICEMAN: (30-40) A neighborhood fixture who is respected by and observant of households on his beat.

MISS LARK: (30-35) The haughty next-door neighbor of the Banks family who treats her dog, Willoughby, as if she were a child.

ADMIRAL BOOM: (50’s) A retired Royal Navy man and neighbor of the Banks family. A physically large man with a loud and booming voice, he speaks in Navy jargon and has a soft spot for his neighbor, Miss Lark. Can be any vocal range as needed. If Admiral Bloom doubles as the Banks Chairman, he can be a baritone.

MRS. BRILL: (50’s) The housekeeper and cook for the Banks family. Overworked and harrassed, she's always
complaining that the house is understaffed. Her intimidating exterior is a cover for the warmth underneath. Mrs. Brill doesn't have a high opinion of nannies in general and Mary Poppins in particular. She does not have to be a strong singer.
Vocal range top: D#5
Vocal range bottom: F#3

ROBERTSON AY: (20’s) The houseboy to the Banks family. Lazy, sleepy and grumbling, he never gets things right and believes himself to be useless. He doesn't do a lot of singing, but his Spoonful solo can be a fun surprise.
Vocal range top: G#4
Vocal range bottom: F3

BANK CHAIRMAN: (50 -60) The head of the bank where Mr. Banks is employed, is an Edwardian stuffed-shirt. He can speak/sing his lines if necessary.
Vocal range top: D4
Vocal range bottom: C3

BIRD WOMAN: (50’s) Covered in a patchwork of old shawls, and her pockets are stuffed with bags of crumbs for the birds. She tries to sell her crumbs for the birds. She tries to sell her crumbs to passersby, who ignore her as if she doesn't exist. Sings Feed the Birds. There can be a gruff, folksy quality to her voice that reflects the hardness of her life.
Vocal range top: C5
Vocal range bottom: Gb3

MISS ANDREW: (40’s) George's overbearing and scary nanny. With her bottle of nasty-tasting brimstone and treacle to keep naughty children in line, she is a bully who only knows one way of doing things - her way. A soprano with an alto belt, there can be some heaviness to her voice along with range.
Vocal range top: F5
Vocal range bottom: Gb3

PARK KEEPER: (40’s) Uniformed and officious, he makes sure no one breaks park regulations. His life is defined by rules, but he secretly hankers after his childhood.

NELEUS: (16) The statue of a young boy posed with a dolphin in the park. Neleus was separated from his father, Poseidon, and misses him very much. A small and lonely being, he is very happy to befriend Jane and Michael. This role is a wonderful opportunity to feature one of the strong dancers in your ensemble.

QUEEN VICTORIA: (40) A statue in the park.

MISS SYMTHE: (40’s) The Bank Chairman's humorless secretary.

ENSEMBLE: Annie, Fannie, Valentine, Teddy Bear, Mr. Punch, Doll, Chimney Sweeps, Toys, Parkgoers.

VON HUSSLER: (30’s) A businessman seeking a loan from the bank for a shady business deal. He speaks with a
German accent.

JOHN NORTHBROOK: (30) An honest businessman seeking a loan to build a factory for his community. He speaks
with an accent from Northern England.

MRS. CORRY: (40’s) Owns a magical gingerbread shop. She is a mysterious woman of great age who speaks with a Caribbean accent (or any accent that would make her seem exotic).
