If given an appointment, be prepared with the appropriate song(s) and monologue listed in the instructions under the character you are auditioning for. Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. Also bring picture and resume, stapled together.

SYNOPSIS: Since childhood, Jay has idolized his dad's cousin, Mini, the one-hit Downtown Diva. Fate throws them together when Jay crashes at Mini's apartment while awaiting housing at Columbia University. Eleven years Mini's junior, Jay has a promising career in science ahead of him, whereas Mini's star as a performer is starting to dim. Although it was the ties of family that brought them together, they become mutually supportive and affectionate as they reach for happiness across the divides of age, culture and taboo.

Mini:
