For actors - 2 contrasting monologues. If interested in musicals, 2 contrasting songs (uptempo/ballad), or 1 song and 1 monologue, bring sheet music in the correct key. Please limit audition package to no more than 3 minutes of combined material.

Blithe Spirit

British Accents are required for all characters. Edith would have a more 'local' accent, less rounded than the rest.
Charles Condomine - Charles is a nice looking man of about 40-45. He's an intelligent, urbane English novelist. With plans to write a novel about a homicidal medium he invites Madame Arcati to present a séance, with the hopes that he can get material for his story. he is completely skeptical about the occult.
Ruth Condomine - Ruth is Charles second wife. She is a smart looking woman in her late 30's - early 40's. Ruth likes order and runs a tight household. She is witty and sophisticated, although a little unimaginative.
Elvira - Elvira is the ghost of Charles first wife. Elvira is a spirited, outgoing, wild and carefree woman, early 30's. She skillfully uses the nostalgia of their past relationship to completely charm Charles but she can be willful and dangerous when thwarted in her attempt to get him all to herself.
Madame Arcarti - Madame Arcarti is the local spiritualist and medium. She is a striking woman, eccentric, effusive and boisterous. Almost childlike in her joy of the occult. Anywhere from 45-65.
Dr George Bradman - Dr Bradman is the local doctor and a good friend of the Condomines. he and his wife have been invited to make up the numbers, Madame Arcarti insists there must be more than three. Bradman is also skeptical and somewhat sardonically amused by all that happens. 50-60.
Violet Bradman - Violet Bradman is Dr Bradman's wife. A pleasant woman somewhat simple and naive. She is very excited about attending a séance, hoping it will include a little palm reading as well. Late 40's - late 50's.
Edith - Edith is the Condomine's new maid. She is a local girl, a simple soul who nervously tears around at breakneck speed, trying to do everything right. Late teens to early 20's.

Holmes and Watson

Watson - Mustache. Brown Hair. Solid. A classic Watson.
Dr. Evans - Brown Hair. Clean-shaven. Silky, officious.
Holmes1 - Tall, thin, angular. The most acerbic Holmes.
Holmes2 - Tall, thin, angular. The most anxious Holmes.
Holmes3 - Tall, thin, angular. The most impenetrable Holmes.
Orderly - Tall, well-built Cockney. Curly ginger mustache.
Matron - Mid 30s, attractive, prim, chilly.
Moriarty - Mid 60s. Tall, thin. Deep, dark menacing eyes.
The Woman - Mid 30s. Beautiful, tortured, mysterious.
The Inspector - Tall, bulky, menacing. Black muttonchops.
Signor Fonseca - Masked.
The Client - Masked.

Moon Over Buffalo

George Hay - male (40s-50s), a classic ham, actor and leader of troupe; former Broadway and film star, married to Charlotte.
Charlotte Hay - female (40s-50s), actress, former Broadway diva; bold, loves her family, married to George.
Ethel - female (60s-70s), former actress on tour with her daughter, Charlotte; a fighter but almost completely deaf.
Rosalind - female (20s-30s), smart, big heart; daughter of George and Charlotte; former actress no longer in the family business; wants a “normal life.”
Howard - male (20s-40s), a weatherman; awkward, but represents the normal guy and life to Rosalind.
Eileen - female (20s), the young, beautiful ingenue in the acting troupe.
Paul - male (20s-30s), following in George’s footsteps, an actor and longtime member of the troupe; Rosalind’s former love interest.
Richard - male (40s-50s), a Lawyer to the stars, among whom are George and Charlotte. Richard has always been in love with Charlotte and is passionate about his love for her.

Lily - female (20s), sweet, Jewish, innocent but gutsy, huge heart, falls in love with Gabriel, British dialect, husband is missing, daughter-in-law of Jeanne.
Jeanne - female (40s), owner of an estate on Guernsey, strong, sexy, manipulative, smart, sharp-tongued, mother to Estelle, British dialect.
Von Pfunz - male (40s), Nazi officer in charge of estate, manipulative, clever, sharp, German dialect and speak German - THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST
Gabriel - male (20s), handsome, mysterious, athletic build, amnesiac, pure, speaks English and German fluently, falls in love with Lily.
